Like many things in my life I’ve been procrastinating doing this for a while.
I actually took this photo several days ago but didn’t quite make up my mind to post it online until last nite (Saturday 12th 2013).
But now I am ready to commit to this journey of weight reduction and general healthcare.
Apart from taking responsibility for the body that God gave me and keeping it in good repair there is another more specific reason for embarking on this weight loss journey at this time.
You see, I have a Home Based Business with Syntek Global and I am on the way to achieving the MVP Rank of Blue Diamond.
I expect to attain this within the next few months and when I cross the stage at our Annual Convention in March 2014 I want to be able to fit into my suit which I haven’t worn in several years because of my weight gain!
So, there you have it!
I expect to lose 100 lbs over the next 5 months at an average of 20 lbs per month starting now – October 2013 and culminating in March 2014.
When I weighed myself on my brand new Bathroom Scale which I bought specifically to help chart my progress I weighed 310 lbs which I thought was quite high but accepted it as the natural consequence of spending most of my day sitting at my computer with the only exercise being walking to and from the bathroom and the kitchen.
However, after reading the instructions on the scale it specifically said NOT to place the scale on thick carpeting as I did, because this will alter the accuracy of the reading.
So, I removed the scale from the bedroom and placed it on the tiled bathroom floor and lo and behold I instantly loss 22 lbs… YAY!!!
I had no idea that not placing the scale on a firm surface could affect the reading so much.
Therefore, my official starting point is 288 lbs.
I will keep you updated here on my Blog for everyone interested in following my progress!
I will endeavor to weigh myself and publish the results weekly and take progress photos and publish them at least once per month!
Until next week, Chaio for now!
