Your Kids and Santa Claus

 

During the first 7 years of a child’s life their fundamental character and belief system is formed.

It’s during this time that many parents choose to indoctrinate their children with the lie of Santa Claus.

They teach their kids that Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Christ but convince them that Santa is the one who brings them gifts.

Let’s consider Santa’s attributes:

1. He’s Omnipotent – Able to manufacture and distribute the perfect gift to billions of children
2. He’s Omniscient – He knows the exact address and directions to the home of every child on the planet
3. He’s Virtually Omnipresent – Able to be at billions of homes in one night
4. He’s an Absolute Moral Judge – He makes the final determination if kids are good or bad, naughty or nice
5. He’s Infinitely Loving, Kind, Compassionate, Joyful, Wise, Just and a genuine Miracle Worker.

So, we have conferred the fundamental attributes of God to a mythical figure and convinced our children that he is real and should be venerated.

Do you realize that this is Idol Worship in its purest form???

This is NOT harmless fun! 

Not when your kids actually believe he exists.

The concept of someone else inhabiting the attributes of God, acting like God and revered like God is embedded as a seed into the psyche of your kids during their most formative years.

This seed is nurtured by input from the education system, the media and society as a whole until it grows into a tree bearing all kinds of destructive fruit in the lives of these innocents.

It’s so easy for the ignorant to make light of this when they don’t understand that this is just one small part of a complex strategy of the enemy to infiltrate and dominate the minds of the next generation, grooming them to become secular evangelists of the doctrines of Humanism, Atheism, etc.

And YOU Christian parents are playing directly into the hands of your enemy, using Santa and Christmas to help him recruit YOUR children to his service.

I read the stories in the Old Testament and I wonder how Israel could fall away from God and worship idols in just one generation after He performed such great miracles for the generation before?

Then I look at us Christians today and see the example we’re setting for our kids … and I understand.

My Pet Peeve – Asking Me “Are You Busy???”

 

I’m sorry, but this has got to be one of the most irritating questions I get asked.

Are you busy?

Usually by a friend or family member needing my time for something.

Please listen carefully, I really would prefer you just come and ask me for whatever it is you want, because when you ask me if I’m busy, this is what I actually hear…

“Are you just sitting there, sucking up oxygen, doing nothing with your time, wasting your life away, taking up space, with not a single thought in your mind?”

Yes… that’s exactly what I’m doing (That’s sarcasm, for the less mentally adroit among us)

Of course, I’m busy… I’m alive!!!

I might be busy working, playing or resting; I might be busy thinking, day dreaming or just observing nature but there is never, ever going to be a time in my life when I’m not busy being physically, mentally or spiritually engaged in life… I’m always busy and so should you!

Sometimes my wife might observe me sitting there, completely relaxed with a blank expression on my face for several minutes and in her mind I’m totally wasting time doing nothing.

Unknown to her at that very moment I’m mentally engaged in vigorous debate with myself concerning some philosophical issue of utmost importance or I might be in conference with the Holy Spirit receiving the answer to a question I asked Him 20 years earlier, literally receiving the revelation to one of the mysteries of the universe… I’m not even kidding, this has happened multiple times.

Here’s the deal, if you need my time and attention for something and I deem it important enough I will gladly stop whatever I’m busy with and redirect my efforts toward you and your cause, because you are important to me.

Just come and ask for what you want, but please do not preface your request with – “are you busy” – that’s extremely annoying!

I will always be busy, but I will make the time to serve you in whatever capacity you need me to… because you are worth it.

Just don’t engage me with inanity and we’ll be fine 🙂

Be Wise and Shine

 

Fallen Human Nature dictates that human beings automatically fear the unknown, distrust the unfamiliar and hate the uncomfortable.

When you become Born Again your inner nature is changed from mere human to incorporate the divine, so you take on an unknown and unfamiliar quality to your being.

Thus the unsaved become uncomfortable in your presence.

This is the reason they naturally hate and distrust you as a Christian… You make them feel uncomfortable in their sinful condition.

This natural animosity from the people of the world should be seen as a stamp of approval and a badge of honor for the Born Again Believer.

It is the unmistakable result of the supernatural transformation you have undergone and should be received with godly pride.

Jesus said, “If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first” and He said “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.” (John 15:18 NLT) (Matt 5:11 NIV)

Notice, He didn’t say, you WILL be blessed, He said you ARE blessed.

The reason you ARE blessed (Present Tense) is because this animosity is evidence of your translation from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light.

Their very reaction to you testifies to your new citizenship and inheritance in glory.

But here’s the sad thing about this…

When average Christians begin to receive negativity from their unsaved co-workers, family and friends, instead of seeing it as something positive, they begin to feel uncomfortable themselves and because their minds are not yet renewed they react like a natural human being to this uncomfortable feeling.

They don’t like feeling uncomfortable so they begin mirroring the habits and lifestyle of their unsaved friends to fit in with them.

They begin dressing like the world and talking like the world in order to appear like them so their non-christian friends will no longer feel uncomfortable in their presence and accept them as one of their own.

In so doing, however, they sabotage their own purpose and derail their destiny.

The Bible says if you love the world, you do not love God and are His enemy. (James 4:4 ) (1 John 2:15)

Average (Carnal) Christians do a great disservice to their unsaved loved ones by not reflecting the glory of God and accurately representing Jesus Christ to them

This is because their testimony might have been the only thing to draw that unsaved loved one into the kingdom of God.

Do you understand, Christian, that when you live like your unsaved friends and when you support their ungodly doctrines and lifestyle you are shutting the Door to the Kingdom of God in their face?

You’re already safe inside but lack the courage to live in such a way that you hold the Door open and invite them to come inside the Kingdom with you.

On Judgement Day they will look you in the eye and call you a liar and a traitor for not living according to the truth inscribed on your own heart and not telling them the truth that could have saved them from Hell.

Millions are pouring into Hell each day and there is something we Christians CAN DO about it… We can live like we really believe the Bible and tell our friends and family members THE TRUTH IN LOVE!

“Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment. Show mercy to still others, but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives.” Jude 1:23 (NLT)

“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that wins souls is wise.” Pro 11:30 (AKJV)

Shocking! Who Are the Highest Paid Public Service Employees?

Who Makes the Most Money of All Public Service Employees???

Do you know that in most states in America the highest paid Public Service Employees are Football and Basketball Coaches?

Let that sink in, while considering all the people who are classified as Public Service Employees.

“Public Service Employees” are included in the following areas:

Education

Teachers, Counselors, University Professors, University Presidents, etc.

You know, the people who are tasked with training the young minds that will manage the affairs of the nation in the next generations.

Emergency Services

Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, Search and Rescue, etc.

Those who risk their lives daily to ensure we live safely, often putting themselves in harms way to  save the lives of strangers.

.

Health Care

Physicians, Surgeons, Dentists, Nurses, Pharmacists, Psychologists, Vets, Technicians and other Health Professionals.

Those who have dedicated their own lives to saving others on a daily basis to help ensure the survival of the species (not a big deal, right?)

Military

Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard and Air Force.

The brave men and women who volunteer to defend our right to freedom and the pursuit of our happiness, even sacrificing their own lives for us, if need be.

 

Urban Planning

Engineers, Architects, Administrators, etc. The men and women who design and build the cities we live in. Who are responsible for all the infrastructures we take for granted, running water, electricity, waste disposal, etc.

In the event of earthquakes and other natural disasters these are the people who help ensure that the buildings we live and work in don’t crumble and kill us all.

 

NASA and NOAA

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration and The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration boast some of the most brilliant scientific minds on the planet, including Physicists, Biologists, Chemists and other PhD’s responsible for discovering the wonders of our universe from the oceans depths to the vastness of outer space.

 

Public Security

Concerned mainly with the protection of citizens, Public Security is a very interesting field which includes the operations of organizations at the federal, state and local levels.

These include, The Mayor’s Office, the Courts System; Judges, Juries and Lawyers.

FEMA, the Department of Homeland Security, the FBI, Customs and Border Protection, the CIA, NSA and the Secret Service (you know, those people who use their own bodies as human shields to protect the President of the United States… no biggie).

In conjunction with other agencies like the CDC it’s the job of all these agencies to serve in cases of pandemics, severe accidents, environmental disasters and acts of terrorism potentially saving millions of human lives but as a society we have determined that of all these people listed above, the ones we should reward with the greatest financial remuneration are those who train people to run across a field or court with a ball in their hands, simply for our amusement.

Question:

1. Have we made entertainment into an idol, a false god that we worship?

 

Is Being Anti-Gay and Racist the Same?

If you believe Homosexuality is wrong… Does that make you a Bigot?

Have you seen the video with the older white gentleman waiting tables at a restaurant who refuses to serve a black man based on his own religious beliefs?

The disguised message here lies in replacing the Black Man with a Gay Person.

The creator of the video is trying to equate being Black with being Gay.

And so, supposedly demonstrate that being offended by homosexuality is somehow equal to being racist.

This type of mind manipulation and deception can easily confuse the uninitiated but for those who are grounded in the Word of God and have an accurate understanding of the principles of the Kingdom of God… not so much.

There is one fundamental truth that will expose this as a weak ineffectual argument designed to befuddle the ignorant and attempt to legitimize homosexuality…

You can read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation and find nowhere that being black offends God.

But read the same Bible and you will find multiple places both in the Old and New Testaments where God categorically states that homosexuality is an offence to Him and must be NOT be practiced nor accepted under penalty of judgement!

This single truth makes that entire video a load of bilge, worthy of no consideration whatsoever!

Mature Christians who have actually read their Bibles and understand the principles of God’s kingdom recognize the errors and lies perpetrated by this video and categorically reject it and it’s deceptive message.

We will not be deceived nor bullied into accepting that which clearly offends God.

Homosexuality is wrong and will never be legitimized nor accepted by God and mature Bible-believing Christians.

 

Love the Sinner – Hate the Sin

Having said this I believe it is equally important to clearly state that being homosexual does NOT make someone a monster or worthy of hate.

On the contrary, this same God who states that homosexuality is a sin is the same God who became a Man and died for homosexuals and for the sin of homosexuality.

He did this so that those who are plagued by the spirit of homosexuality and deceived into accepting this philosophy and lifestyle as their own can be delivered and saved.

Saved first from a life devoid of true intimacy with God and second, from an eternity outside of His loving fellowship.

We mature bible-believing Christians say to you homosexuals – WE LOVE YOU – With all the love of God poured into our hearts by Jesus Christ.

We accept you as fellow Human Beings, worthy of LOVE and RESPECT!

We accept YOU… but we do not and never will accept an ideology and practice which we know is ultimately detrimental to you… because we truly love you.

We love you enough to tell you the truth, even if that truth offends you.

We prefer to risk offending you now and have you live in eternity with God than not offend you now but lose you forever!

 

Message to Christians

To you, Born Again Christians who say you believe the Bible but accept homosexuality as right.

Please consider this:

1) You are NOT doing anyone a favor by sugar-coating the truth or just plain denying it.

You are helping the enemy to keep your loved ones in bondage and damning their souls to a Christless grave.

On their Judgment Day they will spit in your face as a Hypocrite and a Liar who never truly cared about them and loved them with GOD’S love.

Yes, you may love them with Familial love – that of a parent to a child or Brotherly love – absolutely!

Nobody can deny that, but that kind of love will NOT see them delivered and saved!

That type of love can only go so far… and no more!

They need the kind of love that will risk offending them to see them set free and able to live a life that truly pleases God!

 

2) At the Judgement Seat of Christ, you will have to face the same God who died the most horrible death to rescue these people from the bondage of homosexuality.

You will have to answer to Him for your duplicity in saying you believed the truth but lived a lie.

Christian, it is really a selfish thing to be more concerned with maintaining the satus quo of your relationship than risking offence by telling your gay friend or family member the truth.

May God give us, Christians the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in the knowledge of Christ and the courage to always speak the truth.

May God grant grace and repentance to those suffering under the burden of the sin of homosexuality and truly set them free!

What Does the Bible Say About Homosexuality?

Bible Verses that guide us on how to deal with Homosexuals and Homosexuality:

(Unless otherwise stated, all Scripture verses are taken from the New Living Translation of the Bible)

These verses below are for everyone but particularly for those who practice or accept homosexuality as right:

“Do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable sin. Leviticus 18:22

If a man practices homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman, both men have committed a detestable act. They must both be put to death, for they are guilty of a capital offense. Leviticus 20:10

The law is for people who are sexually immoral, or who practice homosexuality, or are slave traders, liars, promise breakers, or who do anything else that contradicts the wholesome teaching. 1st Timothy 1:10

Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality. 1 Corinthians 6:9

That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. Romans 1:26

And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved. Romans 1:27

They know God’s justice requires that those who do these things deserve to die, yet they do them anyway. Worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too. Romans 1:32

No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. Luke 13:5

What I Learned From Watching “The Incredibles” Movie

What I Learned About Pursuing Purpose and Family Life From “The Incredibles” Movie

The Incredibles is on my short list of the top 10 best Superhero movies ever made!

Here’s why…

Through the lives and experiences of each of the main characters I have learnt some very valuable life lessons which I will share with you.

The Husband

Through the character, Mr. Incredible I learnt the importance of being true to your purpose and following through on your dream in the face of seemingly insurmountable obstacles.

He was a superhero. That is what he was.

He wasn’t a superhero simply because he had super strength. The enhanced strength just made him super but he was already a hero on the inside.

This is evident because even when the government outlawed superheroes he and Frozone still found a way to go out there night after night and help people at their own peril.

When they stuck him in a boring day job with an Insurance company bogged down by red tape designed to curtail the efforts of good citizens trying to make good on their rightful claims he still found a way to assist them in circumventing the “evil” bureaucracy and get justice done without having to use any super powers at all.

Mr. Incredible was a hero at heart and he was driven to fulfill his destiny.

Over the past 25 years as a Bible Teacher many people have asked me the question, “How can I find my purpose in life?”

The correct answer is multifaceted, of course but one clear indication to your purpose is to identify that one thing that you cannot help but think about constantly.

What is that one thing you find yourself drawn to and find yourself doing naturally and unconsciously?

What do you day-dream about? What would you risk your life for?

If you can answer these questions you will have one clear indication as to your call in life.

Mr. Incredible found himself being a hero even when it was outlawed, and even when he couldn’t use his super strength to help someone he still found a way to lend a hand.
On the flip side there is a lesson Mr. Incredible had to learn and it is something everyone, especially us men need to learn as well.

Once you’re married, a meticulous balance must be struck between fulfilling your personal purpose and your duties and responsibilities to your home and family.

Mr. Incredible was so consumed with fulfilling his destiny as a superhero he began neglecting his marital and familial responsibilities which brought discord and the inevitable breakdown of discipline in his home.

His wife, Elastigirl felt personally neglected and abandoned with respect to parenting their kids and managing their home and her mounting resentment if left unchecked would have threatened to destroy everything they built together as a family.

Thank God because of the perils they faced together as a family, these issues were resolved by the end of the movie but not without Elastigirl going through her own metamorphosis and re-discovering her own purpose as well.

The Wife

Here is where the ladies can take note and discover something of value.

God made Adam first for a reason and specifically took Eve out of Adam’s body for a purpose.

He could have gone back to the earth and fashioned a body for Eve… Why didn’t He?

I believe God did things the way He did to give a clear indication to women that they are indeed created equal to men in every respect yet in the context of the home and family there are distinctly different offices for male and female.

The woman was made a “Help Meet” for the man, these Hebrew words simply mean a “Suitable Partner.”

They DO NOT mean a woman is less than a man… Women are equal yet different!

God created the man first and has ordained it that the man is the head of the family, he determines where the family goes but the thing most men don’t realize is that the woman determines how they get there.

Someone said it like this… The man is the head but the woman is the neck which turns the head how it wants.

This was so clearly illustrated in the movie you have to wonder if the Holy Spirit had a hand in directing it.

When the Incredibles Family left syndrome’s Lair and headed for the city to stop the “Evil” Machine from wrecking havoc, Mr Incredible decided where they were going but when the van landed and they were trying to figure out the best way to get to the heart of the city it was Elastigirl, in defiance to her husband’s will who correctly identified the most expedient route and executed it safely.

Women are NOT made subservient to men. They are made equal, qualified Partners.

Elastigirl had to discover that her own destiny was hidden within her husband’s destiny as a superhero.

Is this the reason God specifically took something from inside the man to create the woman?

Is this why the woman was hidden inside the man when God first created him? To indicate that she will perfectly fulfill her own purpose as she comes into alignment with her husband’s?

Elastigirl certainly discovered a new sense of purpose as she united with her husband in the fulfilling of his own purpose and eventually each member of the family fell into place discovering and fulfilling their own individual purpose as well.

Elastigirl was spot on when Mr. Incredible uttered those iconic words, “I’m not strong enough” and she responded with, “You don’t have to be, if we
work together.”

That’s almost the entire movie in one sentence!

Brilliantly done… Brad Bird!

The Kids

Violet discovered a confidence she never knew existed within herself and embraced it along with the mastery of her own unique powers.

She learnt how to assert herself in the world and take what was rightfully hers without crushing others in the process.

Dash learnt the balance between power and humility.

He learnt how to explore and express his own unique gift without abusing it, using it to help rather than hurt others.

And Jack-Jack, the product of two super-powered beings began to discover his own nature and potential as a force for good and justice in the universe.

The Villain

Of course, we have the negative example of Syndrome, the Villain who never discovered his own unique purpose in life but rather tried to hitch his wagon to another man’s dream and literally crash, burned and died in the process.

Tragically, Buddy originally saw himself as the hero but actually became Syndrome, the Villain of the movie instead.

A significant message here is that villainy is inevitable when one uses his gifts and talents for selfish gain rather than altruistically for the betterment of others.

The other significance is that Buddy never discovered his own personal purpose and became totally frustrated in trying to pursue his imagined role in Mr. Incredible’s life.

He then became resentful and bitter to the extent that hate filled his heart completely destroying his moral center.

He systematically murdered every superhero he could find all the while convincing himself that he was doing everyone a favor and that eventually he would be justified.

I think by every definition this would certainly qualify as a degree of insanity.

Conclusion

My final thoughts are… how many people right now are living fruitless, frustrated lives consciously or unconsciously abusing others around them all because they have never discovered and pursued their true purpose in life?

How many have allowed their failed attempts at being and doing something they were never designed for to make them bitter and resentful?

I believe when you are actively fulfilling your purpose in life the natural result is a sense of well-being and confidence.

You are naturally loving and kind to others and look for ways to bless others. You become a giver instead of a taker.

There is no tragedy greater than to die without really living.

I believe that never discovering and fulfilling your purpose in life is never to have lived at all.

These are the things I’ve learnt from watching the movie… The Incredibles!

Atheism and Homosexuality: What do They Have in Common?

What do Atheism and Homosexuality Have in Common?

The Atheistic and the Homosexual ideologies are two sides of the same coin.

They both seek to remove God’s dominion over the Human Race… one overtly, the other covertly.

The Atheistic ideology openly challenges God’s Dominion by seeking to deny His very existence.

The Homosexual ideology secretly challenges God’s Dominion by denying the fundamental truth that we are all created in God’s image, male and female and our primary purpose is to reproduce His image through the marriage of one man to one woman.

Of the two, I consider the Homosexual ideology the greater danger.

For the most part, the Atheist is an educated fool, fighting a losing battle.

He is trying to deny the obvious truth of God’s existence, which is first inscribed in his own heart then abundantly displayed throughout nature.

His, is an exercise in futility and the plight of a fool. Atheism is really the pinnacle of human idiocy.

~ The End of Human Civilization ~

The Homosexual ideology on the other hand is a deceptive attack on the foundation of civilized society.

God created human beings male and female and instituted the marriage of one man and one woman as the building block of Human Civilization.

When Homosexuals ask us to accept their philosophy and lifestyle they’re asking us to deny the foundation that Human Society is built on… traditional marriage and the family unit!

But without a solid foundation can anything worthwhile stand?

If the foundation of traditional marriage is eradicated from society, the destruction of Human Civilization cannot be far behind!

For this cause, I have a huge problem with anyone who claims to be a Gay Christian.

This is an Oxymoron of the highest order and cannot be long reconciled!

Such an individual is either not saved and deceived into thinking they are, or he/she is a very confused Believer struggling with their sexual identity.

Such a person will have quite a monumental conflict to resolve and must eventually choose one ideology over the other. The Bible says, bitter and sweet water cannot flow from the same well.

Having understood all of this though, the salient question is… How should the enlightened Christian respond to this knowledge?

Should we vilify or heap condemnation on homosexuals? Should we threaten them to get saved or burn in hell?

Should we march through the streets with placards hurling insults at them?

What do the scriptures teach us?

~ Love the Sinner… Hate the Sin ~

Jude 1:23 in the Bible’s New Living Translation says, “Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment. Show mercy to still others, but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives.”

Simply put… save the Sinner, hate the sin.

This philosophy is not a cop-out by Christians, it’s not some catchy phrase invented yesterday.

And sorry to inform you but it did not originate with Mohandas K. Gandhi either.

It is a clear mandate decreed by God 2,000 years ago for the correct attitude and approach toward the very people Jesus gave His life for.

If you ever wanted scriptural justification for this doctrine, now you have it.

Love the sinner… hate the sin! Jude 1:23

Love the homosexual… hate the ideology and lifestyle.

To believe it is mandatory to accept someone’s ideology and lifestyle if you love them is a ridiculous concept.

There are many pedophiles who feel justified in their lifestyle and way of thinking.

There are wife-beaters and rapists who feel no remorse for their deeds and believe how they think and live should be the status quo.

There are people who have sex with animals and consider this normal.

If we love these people do we have to accept their lifestyles too?

What about those who openly worship satan and call it their religion… where do we draw the line with acceptance?

There must be an absolute standard of morality we all adhere to or civilized society will desist.

To embrace the concept of “to each his own” is to court anarchy and destruction.

A line must be drawn! Wrong is wrong! And sin is sin!

May God give His people the courage and wisdom to call it as it is and to take righteous action.

Re-Thinking Homosexuality in Light of God’s Original Intent For Humanity

For the rest of the world there is much to debate.

Apart from the question of Morality there are also Political, Legal, Social and Health issues to consider when discussing the rights and wrongs of Homosexuality.

But for the Bible-Believing Christian, there is no such conflict.

This matter is forever settled in Genesis Chapter One of your Bible.

Homosexuality is WRONG!

God created the Human Race with a very clear purpose in mind, “Be Fruitful, Multiply and Have Dominion!” Gen. 1:28

This is God’s Prime Directive to the Human Race… The very reason we were created in the first place!

Two members of the same sex CANNOT fulfill this mandate… They cannot be fruitful and multiply.

The Ideology and Practice of Homosexuality is contrary to God’s original intent for Humanity and therefore wrong.

As a Born Again Christian this must be your ideological starting point, then you go from there and consider other aspects of the issue under discussion.

This is what having a Biblical Worldview means and having a Biblical Worldview is what must characterize you as a Kingdom Citizen.

As Christians, we must see things from the Bible’s perspective first, then consider every other aspect in light of what God has already said about the matter.

This is what protects us from ideological error and bad judgement.

So, is Homosexuality a sin… Most definitely it is!

It transgresses the most vital principle God laid down for the Human Race… Which is to reproduce other beings in His image.

In the beginning God made them Male and Female and instituted the Marriage of one man to one woman with the resulting family as the foundation and building block of Human Civilization.

To violate this intrinsic principle is to strike at the very heart of God’s Dominion of us.

This is why Homosexuality is not just another sinful practice… at it’s heart, it is the most fundamental rejection of God.

It is rejecting His image in us. If we are Homosexual or merely agreeing with it we are assenting to the rejection of God.

If the Human Society embraces the Homosexual ideology we will have universally rejected God.

This will create an open invitation for our children to be inhabited by every description of demonic spirit imaginable.

No wonder the entire society of Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed.

This was actually an act of God’s mercy in not allowing the devil to perpetuate the cycle of possession and destruction into the next generation.

Sin is progressive, with each successive generation it gets worst and would have eventually spread throughout the entire region!

Before you know it, another worldwide catastrophe would have been needed to eradicate the pandemic of demonic possession.

Bottom line, there is no greater rejection of God than to reject His image in you.

And this is what being Gay is… A fundamental rejection of God’s image in you and consequently His dominion over your life.

The Bible says, “Women no longer wanted to have sex in a natural way, and they did things with each other that were not natural. Men behaved in the same way. They stopped wanting to have sex with women and had strong desires for sex with other men.

Since these people refused even to think about God, he let their useless minds rule over them. That’s why they do all sorts of indecent things.” Rom 1:27-28

Marriage is a Blood Covenant

“Hey, Pops!” Jennie came bounding down the stairs all excited.

“What’s up?” Her father looked up from the newspaper his glasses perched on the tip of his nose so he could read the fine print without them.

“Can you do me a solid? I need to borrow your car tonight”

“Sure. What’s the occasion?”

“Oh, just going to the movies.” Her voice sounded a little too casual and her body language was a little off. After 19 years Jen’s father could read her like the Newspaper he held in his hand.

“Going alone?” He countered with equal casualness.

The pause was pregnant.

“Look, it’s no big deal alright, I’m going with John but Suzanne and Rick will be there too.”

“Sweetheart, you’re 19 years old and your mother and I expect you to make your own decisions but remember; decisions have consequences. You know how I feel about you and John. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I think you’re getting too close too soon, you should…”

“But Dad, it’s not like we plan on having sex or anything we’re just having fun being together!”

“I understand that, Jennifer but when you spend so much time with one person you’re bound to develop feelings for them and pretty soon you’ll find that your emotions could be making the decisions for you, and then things may get out of control very quickly.”

“It’s my life and I need to make my own decisions, right? Anyway, what’s the big deal about sex before marriage anyway, I mean if two people truly love each other what’s wrong with that. Isn’t marriage just a formality, anyway?”

 James looked at his daughter silently for a while. And like most fathers, even though he was looking at a young woman he was still seeing his little baby girl.

“Come sweetheart, have a seat.” His words drew her in as only a father’s can.

She obliged, pulling a chair and sitting at the table adjacent from her dad.

“Jennifer,” he started slowly, “what we see on the TV and the Movies is not what marriage is supposed to be, it’s…”

“I know that Dad, I’m not stupid you know, I can see…”

“Wait, Babes, let me finish.” He pleaded gently. Jennifer rolled her eyes, sighed and slumped like all the air was let out of her but she remained silent.

“Here’s what you need to know about marriage.” Her father continued.

“Marriage is more than just, I love you and you love me so let’s get together and have a family.”

“Marriage is a Blood Covenant.”

“A what??!!” Jennifer blurted, staring at her father like if his mental hard-drive had just crashed.

“On the wedding night, “ he explained, “when the newlywed virgin couple consummates their marriage the blood that flows is the sign of the covenant that they’ve entered into earlier that day in the presence of God and the witness gathered at their wedding.”

She continued staring at him in silence.

“You see, Jen, marriage between a man and a woman represents the mystical union of Christ to His Church. That’s why the Church is called the Bride of Christ and in many of His parables Jesus likens Himself to a Bridegroom”

“So, that virginal blood that was shed on the wedding night will always be a sign of their marital covenant. Just like when Jesus died on the cross and He was pierced in the side with the spear, the blood that flowed over the spear is the sign of the New Covenant of salvation that Christians enjoy.”

“That’s why we can use Jesus’ Blood as a spiritual weapon and “Plead the Blood” against the Devil’s works of darkness. When we plead the Blood of Jesus we remind the Enemy of the power of the Covenant we are protected by so He has no choice but to bow to the authority of that Blood and the Covenant it represents.”

“In the same way, when you obey God and wait until you get married to have sex, the blood that’s shed on your wedding night enforces the Marriage Covenant and acts as a form of spiritual protection against the attacks of the Devil on your marriage.”

“But when you practice pre-marital sex and no blood flows when you consummate your marriage, the sign of your covenant is missing.”

“God still honors your vows but there’s no sign of the covenant for you to hold up against the Enemy, nothing for him to submit to and nothing you can use to remind him of the binding power of your covenant.”

“When the sign of your covenant is missing that’s just another chink in the armor that protects your marriage.”

“This doesn’t mean that once you’re a virgin when you get married you won’t have any problems, it just means that engaging in pre-marital sex puts you at a greater disadvantage when it comes to winning the spiritual warfare for your marriage relationship.”

“Wow, Pops, that’s some heavy sh… stuff!” Jen stammered.

“What do you think about it?” He asked, sliding the car keys across the table at her.

“I’ll get back to you on that. I need some time to process.” Jen pushed back the chair, palmed the keys and stood up to leave.

Her father gave her that particular look that said, “You’ve been warned, the ball is now in your court!” He opened the Newspaper and resumed reading.

Jen slowly started up the stairs as she muttered to herself, “A Blood Covenant… Wow!”
