A Black Man, Ahmaud Arbery, has been stalked, gunned down and murdered in the street for absolutely NO REASON, other than he was BLACK… AND IT WAS ALL VIDEO TAPED but America seems to have moved past it like it never happened!

You say to me, this happens all the time, why is this a Paradign Shift???

There’s something that’s been stuck in my craw for a while that just won’t leave me.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a Christian Preacher who saw an injustice so he extended his Pulpit to the streets and made his voice heard, initiating a movement that swept a country and impacted the world.

Black people are being slaughtered in the streets like animals by Racists, both in and out of uniform and I’m wondering, where is the Christian Church???

Where is the National outcry???

When Hitler’s racist rhetoric began taking root, the Christian Church was silent in Germany and 10 million people were exterminated by the Nazis.

Most of us know about the 6 million Jews but aren’t familiar with the 4 million other people who were killed because they also were considered different.

MY WHITE CHRISTIAN FRIENDS…

When you remain silent as your neighbors are exterminated for being different, it won’t be long before YOU are considered different enough to suffer the same fate.

Consider this… How much time did Jesus spend behind the four walls of a Synagogue as opposed to going out into society and ministering to the public?

I’m not saying we should all become street preachers but if we consider that most of society congregates on Social Media, shouldn’t we be using this forum to aggressively denounce that which God hates?

Innocent blood is being shed as Black people are slaughered in the streets.

Bible Knowing vs. Believing

Scriptural Knowledge vs. Belief

Most people have the mistaken notion that the Christian Life is only about “BELIEF” as opposed to “KNOWLEDGE” and they are dead wrong.

While “belief” is integral to becoming a Christian, “knowledge” is how you live a successful Christian life.

It’s the very reason so many Christians are living in defeat… it’s due to their ignorance!

Don’t take my word for it, God said…

My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge – Hosea 4:6

For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge – Romans 10:2-4

Both the Old and New Testaments confirm that knowledge is the key for successful Christian living.

I have written this to you who BELIEVE in the name of the Son of God, so that you may KNOW you have eternal life – 1 John 5:13

Notice how we need to begin by believing but after we have entered Covenant with God He then gives us knowledge to stand on.

God doesn’t leave us standing on belief… He gives us knowledge so our footing may be sure!

I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, would give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him – Ephesians 1:17

Paul prayed for us to have wisdom and revelation in the KNOWLEDGE of Christ.

Some may say that we live this Christian life by FAITH and I agree, but faith is based on knowledge not ignorance.

You cannot trust God to heal you if you don’t know He’s a Healer.

You cannot trust God to save you if you don’t KNOW He’s a Savior.

If that wasn’t the case we wouldn’t need to preach and evangelize.

How can people have faith in the Lord and ask him to save them, if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear, unless someone tells them? Romans 10:14

You can’t have faith in Him unless you KNOW about Him… Faith is based on Knowledge.

Knowledge is so vital for successful Christian living that even at an advanced age Paul was still desiring for more knowledge of God.

He said, “I want to know Christ–yes, to know the power of his resurrection…” Philippians 3:10

The man who wrote most of the New Testament and gave us most of the revelation about Christ and His Gospel still wanted to KNOW more about Christ.

The Bible says, “But if you don’t grow, you are like someone who is nearsighted or blind, and you have forgotten that your past sins are forgiven.” 2 Peter 1:9

You stop growing as a Believer when you forget what you KNOW about your Salvation.

I submit to every Christian that your greatest enemy is NOT the devil but your own ignorance!

The greatest danger with ignorance is this…

There are many Christians who have been taught wrong doctrine so in their minds… they know… but what they know is incorrect.

These unfortunate souls are in the most dangerous position of all… they know… but what they know is wrong, so they are still ignorant but don’t realise they’re ignorant.

They are operating in complete confidence of blissful ignorance, unaware of their own condition.

How To Avoid Deception

To innoculate yourself against deception I recommend you abide by 3 fundamental principles:

1. Love the TRUTH above all else.

A. The Living Truth … The Person Jesus Christ
B. The Written Truth – The New Covenant Word of Christ
C. The Rhema Truth – The Revealed Word of God to You

2. Cultivate HUMILITY above every other virtue.

If you remain humble you can be taught ANY truth and you can be corrected from ANY error

3. Realise that there is NO ONE PERSON or NO GROUP on this Earth that has 100% revelation on ANY DOCTRINE!

God Himself is a limitless revelation!

That’s why it will take an ETERNITY to know Him.

EVERYTHING we know about God right now is only a tiny fraction of a tiny fraction of a tiny fraction of a… you get the picture.

The sum total of EVERYTHING we know about God and His Kingdom is like 99.9999999% ignorance and 0.0000001% knowledge.

Compared to all there is to know about God and His Kingdom, we are all operating from more ignorance than knowledge right now.

Paul the Apostle was wise enough to realize his ignorance and still desire to know God after receiving more revelation about God and His Kingdom than anyone else at that time.

Therefore, ANY Christian Person or Group who acts like they have 100% truth on ANY doctrine and everyone else is wrong, is dancing with deception.

Protect yourself from error by observing the 3 principles above.

FACT #1: Every sovereign nation has a right to protect it’s borders from violation.

The Democratic leaders in the video above ALL SAID that you needed to protect your borders but they did nothing significant about actually protecting your borders… Do you know why???

They were being typical politicians… saying the right thing to appease those on one side of the fence but NOT following through, so they wouldn’t offend those on the other side of the fence.

They are being blatant LIARS and HYPOCRITS to your face… and you LOVE them for it!

In this matter, Trump is SAYING the right thing and DOING the right thing… but you HATE him for it.

Is Calling Someone Stupid a Sin?

I just watched a video on Facebook where a Pastor was rightfully denouncing racism and racist people. (See video here)

But afterward, he sort of apologized for using the word “Stupid” and it got me thinking… As a Christian, is it wrong to point out someone’s stupidity?

What follows is my understanding of scripture on this matter:

Did you know being stupid is a sin and Christians are called to denounce sin?

“The thought of foolishness is sin…” Proverbs 24:9

“Those who continue in sin, rebuke in the presence of all…” 1st Timothy 5:20

The Dictionary Defines Stupid as – Having or showing a great lack of intelligence or common sense.

The Dictionary Defines Foolish as – Lack of common sense or good judgment; unwise.

The Dictionary goes on to describe foolish as: Senseless, vacant, vapid, simple, witless, fatuous, silly, inane, stupid and asinine.

We can see from the above definitions that being foolish and being stupid are synonymous.

So, why are the definitions of these words important?

Because the Bible uses the word Fool or Foolish almost 200 times to warn people NOT to be foolish (stupid).

Paul, the Apostle called the Galatians foolish – Gal 3:1

Jesus called the disciples fools – Luke 24:25

Moses called the Israelites foolish – Deuteronomy 32:6

God called an entire nation foolish – Deuteronomy 32:21

The New Testament word translated here is “Anoetos” and means, “Unintelligent, Unwise.”

The Old Testament word Translated here is “Nabal” and means, “Senseless.”

There is one verse (Matthew 5:22) that needs special attention.

In the KJV Jesus said, “But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.”

On the surface, this verse seems to contradict my position, however, deeper study is necessary for the truth to unfold.

The Contemporary English Version of the Bible translates this verse as:

“But I promise you that if you are angry with someone, you will have to stand trial. If you call someone a fool, you will be taken to court. And if you say that someone is worthless, you will be in danger of the fires of hell.”

The New living Translation says:

“But I say, if you are even angry with someone, you are subject to judgment! If you call someone an idiot, you are in danger of being brought before the court. And if you curse someone, you are in danger of the fires of hell.”

Comparing these translations helps to clarify what Jesus is actually saying.

Clearly He’s not just talking about calling someone a fool because He does exactly that in Luke 24:25 and He cannot contradict Himself (neither can He sin).

The Hebrew word translated “fool” in Matthew 5:22 is NOT he same as in the other verses, it is the word “Moros” which means; impious, godless and useless.

This word specifically expresses condemnation.

Thus, it’s clear in Matthew 5:22 Jesus is NOT referring to calling someone a fool but rather condemning someone for their moral character, which only God can legally do.

The problem is, the Bible says we do have the power of death and life in our mouths, so when we condemn someone we are actually pronouncing a curse upon them.

In Matthew 5:22, Jesus is specifically talking about judging and condemning someone for their value as a human being, someone whom God has fearfully and wonderfully made in His own image and likeness.

In essence, this is a personal reproach and an insult to God… hence the danger of hell fire.

The bottom line of this issue is this…

You do not need to apologize for pointing out someone’s stupidity if, in the spirit of love, your intention is to warn them or others away from it.

God thought warning people about stupidity was so important He devoted entire Books of the Bible to it… According to bible categorization there are 5 specific Books of Wisdom, chief of which is the Book of Proverbs.

The first 4 verses of Proverbs clearly outline it’s purpose:

“These are the wise sayings of Solomon, son of David, king of Israel:
They show you how to know wisdom and teaching, to find the words of understanding.
They help you learn about the ways of wisdom and what is right and fair.
They give wisdom to the child-like, and much learning and wisdom to those who are young.” (NLV)

To summarize, the purpose of this Book is to get you to stop being stupid and start being wise.

Pointing out someone’s lack of wisdom is neither here not there, what makes it right or wrong is the motive of your heart.

Are you pointing out someone’s stupidity to insult them and boost your own ego? This is Wrong!

Are you pointing out someone’s foolishness to warn them or others away from it and toward wisdom? This is Right!

Who Makes the Most Money of All Public Service Employees???

Do you know that in most states in America the highest paid Public Service Employees are Football and Basketball Coaches?

Let that sink in, while considering all the people who are classified as Public Service Employees.

“Public Service Employees” are included in the following areas:

Education

Teachers, Counselors, University Professors, University Presidents, etc.

You know, the people who are tasked with training the young minds that will manage the affairs of the nation in the next generations.

Emergency Services

Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, Search and Rescue, etc.

Those who risk their lives daily to ensure we live safely, often putting themselves in harms way to  save the lives of strangers.

Health Care

Physicians, Surgeons, Dentists, Nurses, Pharmacists, Psychologists, Vets, Technicians and other Health Professionals.

Those who have dedicated their own lives to saving others on a daily basis to help ensure the survival of the species (not a big deal, right?)

Military

Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard and Air Force.

The brave men and women who volunteer to defend our right to freedom and the pursuit of our happiness, even sacrificing their own lives for us, if need be.

 

Urban Planning

Engineers, Architects, Administrators, etc. The men and women who design and build the cities we live in. Who are responsible for all the infrastructures we take for granted, running water, electricity, waste disposal, etc.

In the event of earthquakes and other natural disasters these are the people who help ensure that the buildings we live and work in don’t crumble and kill us all.

 

NASA and NOAA

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration and The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration boast some of the most brilliant scientific minds on the planet, including Physicists, Biologists, Chemists and other PhD’s responsible for discovering the wonders of our universe from the oceans depths to the vastness of outer space.

 

Public Security

Concerned mainly with the protection of citizens, Public Security is a very interesting field which includes the operations of organizations at the federal, state and local levels.

These include, The Mayor’s Office, the Courts System; Judges, Juries and Lawyers.

FEMA, the Department of Homeland Security, the FBI, Customs and Border Protection, the CIA, NSA and the Secret Service (you know, those people who use their own bodies as human shields to protect the President of the United States… no biggie).

In conjunction with other agencies like the CDC it’s the job of all these agencies to serve in cases of pandemics, severe accidents, environmental disasters and acts of terrorism potentially saving millions of human lives but as a society we have determined that of all these people listed above, the ones we should reward with the greatest financial remuneration are those who train people to run across a field or court with a ball in their hands, simply for our amusement.

1. Have we made entertainment into an idol, a false god that we worship?

 

Unprecedented Breakthrough in A Theory of Everything?

According to scientific discovery there are 4 fundamental physical forces in nature

1. The Gravitional Force
2. The Electromagnetic Force
3. The Weak Nuclear Force
4. The Strong Nuclear Force

Gravity has it’s greatest impact in the Macroverse, at the cosmic level.

Electromagnetism and the Weak and Strong Interactions are most impactful in the Microverse at the atomic and sub-atomic levels.

Since Albert Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity explains the cosmological mechanics of the universe it more or less governs the  gravitational force.

And since Max Planck’s Quantum Theory explains things at the microscopic level, it covers the other three forces.

Physicists have been trying to find a unifying theory that would explain both the microscopic and macroscopic mechanics of the universe and this unified theory is what is coined, “A Theory of Everything.”

I have found that all 4 forces have one constant in that they all facilitate communication at the macro and micro levels of the universe

I’ve further discovered that the purpose of communication is connection therefore the primary function of the 4 fundamental physical forces is to keep the elements of the universe cohesive.

This is where it gets very interesting for me as a Bible Teacher because the Bible says about Jesus Christ.

1. All things were created by Him – Col 1:16
2. He holds all creation together – Col 1:17
3. He upholds the universe by the word of his power – Hebrews 1:3
4. His Name is called The Word of God – Revelation 19:13

So, the primary purpose of the 4 basic physical forces is to keep the universe connected through communication but there is no unifying theory that explains all four.

Enter Jesus Christ who created, sustains, upholds and personally keeps every element of the universe connected.

Can Jesus Christ, therefore,  be the Essence and Foundation of A Theory of Everything?

Can He, Himself be the missing link between the Theory of Relativity – governing the Macroverse and Quantum Theory – covering the Microverse?

Is He the Source of the Gravitational, Electromagnetic, Weak and Strong Nuclear Forces of the universe?

I think He is. How about you?

Value vs. Income

Average people whine and complain about their circumstances and try to wish away their daily challenges.

Successful people embrace the difficulties of life with the understanding that as they face and overcome each challenge they are being forced to grow into a better and better version of themselves and in so doing they are able to more efficiently serve humanity with their gifts.

This process allows them to become more valuable to society and the more valuable to society you become the more your income grows.

You increase your value to society by becoming a better and better problem solver and your income grows consistently with the quality or quantity of problems you choose to solve.

The tragedy of this reality is that 21st century society has placed a higher value on Entertainment than on Education that’s why Athletes and Actors are millionaires and Teachers are broke!

Quality vs. Quantity

So how should the wise person relate to this information?

Start by figuring out where society places their highest value and which problems pay you the most money to solve.

For instance, solving medical and legal problems are of very high value so generally speaking Doctors and Lawyers make a lot of money.

The problem is, there is an extremely high price to pay to become a Doctor or Lawyer, so where does that leave the average person with beyond average dreams?

Remember, income grows consistently with the quality or quantity of problems you choose to solve… Quality OR Quantity!

Lawyers and Doctors earn a lot because of the QUALITY of problems they solve.

If becoming a Doctor or Lawyer is too expensive a price to pay, then you need to find a problem in large enough QUANTITY so that a lot of people will pay you to solve it.

Ask yourself this question… What problem exists in a very large quantity that I can learn to solve without having to pay too high a price to get started?

Think about it… everyone needs or wants more money. Even those who are already financially well off by society’s standards still desire more money.

So, what if you could solve people’s financial problems? What if you could show a lot of people a way to earn more money with very low risk to themselves?

Would THAT pay YOU a lot?

What Does the Bible Mean When it Says to be Fruitful?

To be fruitful is to manifest your full potential in Christ Jesus.

It is to discover and develop your God-given gifts and abilities and to constructively employ them in the service of humanity and to the glory of God.

The essence of fruitfulness is in recognizing and accepting that there are no limitations on you beside those you place upon yourself.

To be fruitful is to continually rise to meet and overcome every challenge life throws at you and in so doing become an increasingly more valuable member of society and of the Kingdom of God.

 

What Does the Bible Mean When it Says to Multiply?

To multiply is not just to physically reproduce the species but to duplicate oneself as a Kingdom Leader in others.

God does NOT create followers! This is evident because He created every human being in His own image and likeness… and God follows no one!

Every human being, therefore, is a born leader but needs to discover this truth and learn how to cultivate the attributes of effective leadership within themselves.

The responsibility of leadership is to duplicate more leaders and by “duplicate” I mean to help others discover and develop the inherent leader within themselves.

It is this duplication of leadership that the bible refers to when it commands us to multiply.

 

What Does the Bible Mean When it Says to Have Dominion?

There are two Greek words which are translated “power” in the Bible

One is Exousia meaning “Authority” and the other is Dunamis which means “Ability”

Having Dominion is effectively exercising and demonstrating authority and ability over a given jurisdiction.

The essence of having dominion is partnering with God and employing the power He has given us to effectively govern the earth.

Trying to have dominion without God, therefore, is both useless and fruitless.

Having dominion means using all the resources at your command with guidance of the Holy Spirit to make this world a better place to live in, while preparing for the Kingdom of God.

The essence of dominion is to effectively channel the power of God to effect positive change in the earth.

Demonstrating dominion begins with your own spirit, mind and body, then extends to your home, family and community, next your city, nation and the world.

The ultimate purpose for your life is to become a join-ruler with God over the universe He created with you in mind!

2004 Tsunami: Caught On Camera Parts 1-8

I just watched 8 Videos depicting the events of the 2004 Asian Tsunami from the video cameras of people who were actually there, on the ground experiencing it as it happened, some of them even losing loved ones in the disaster.

The experiences of each of these individuals so affected me that I thought it necessary to share these videos with as many people as possible!

There were times as I was watching the events unfold it became surreal especially when I realized, “Hey, this isn’t a movie...” this is real… in all likelihood you probably just watched someone die!

I guess sometimes it’s good to be reminded of our own mortality, in order to jolt us into realizing that every day we’re given life, it’s a gift and what we do with it that day has significance and relevance and should count toward making this world a better place for us all to live in!

As you watch, may you be endued with a renewed sense of value and purpose to your own life!

Wikipedia describes the 2004 Tsunami thus:

The 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake was an undersea megathrust earthquake that occurred at 00:58:53 UTC (about 7.59AM EST) on Sunday, 26 December 2004, with an epicenter off the west coast of Sumatra, Indonesia.

The quake itself is known by the scientific community as the Sumatra–Andaman earthquake. The resulting tsunami was given various names, including the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, South Asian tsunami, Indonesian tsunami, and the Boxing Day tsunami.

The earthquake was caused when the Indian Plate was subducted by the Burma Plate and triggered a series of devastating tsunamis along the coasts of most landmasses bordering the Indian Ocean, killing over 230,000 people in fourteen countries, and inundating coastal communities with waves up to 30 meters (98 ft) high.

After watching these videos and listening to each person relate their experience I am deeply affected by this catastrophe even though, as of this writing, it occurred almost 10 years ago. (I had never before seen these videos)

I find myself asking, did I contribute anything to helping these people recover their lives, and I honestly do not remember giving anything financially.

I’m thinking, I must have at least prayed as I usually do when things like this occur, but at the same time wondering… was that enough?

I am still encouraged to know, however, that we as a global community rose to the occasion and gave $14 Billion dollars to our fellowmen in their time of need.

I’m left with the feeling that we really need to do as much as we can to help each other out whenever we can,  because you never know when it’s going to be your turn and you need assistance from someone else, maybe even someone you’ve never met!
