I always find it strange when people tell me their reason for not getting involved with Network Marketing is that they don’t like marketing and sales!
I guess they don’t realize that every time they have an argument with someone what they’re doing is trying to sell the other person the idea that their point of view is better and they should accept it in place of their own.
Why do you argue with your friends and family members? Why do you try to get them to abandon their way of thinking for yours?
You are trying to convince them that their way of thinking is wrong and ultimately detrimental to them in some way and if they would just accept your way of thinking it would enhance their lives and make things better for them.
The reason you want this to happen is because you love and care about them.
Network Marketing is no different!
Those of us who are Professional Network Marketers, who take our profession seriously are trying to enhance the lives of those we care about, whether they are friends, family or folks we meet online.
We have a product or service that we believe will better the lives of those who use it and we are committed to sharing this product or service with as many people as possible.
We are applying commitment and care to commerce.
That’s what Network Marketing is about… Commitment to our product and care for the people we share it with!
My former mentor once said tongue-in-cheek he couldn’t understand how any married person can claim they’re not good at sales.
To be married you have to convince someone that of all 7 billion people on the planet they should choose you becauseĀ you are their very best option for lifelong contentment and married bliss… now that takes great sales skill!
It’s obviously meant to be taken lightly but there is some substance in the rationale. When you’re convinced of something yourself it’s not too difficult to convince others of the same thing as well!
This points to the very essence of Network Marketing which is… sharing what we believe in with people that we care about!
