Tessanne Chin – Jamaican Superstar Wins The Voice and Takes the USA by Storm
It’s no secret that Jamaican singing sensation, Tessanne Chin is taking the USA by storm after winning the 5th Season of “The Voice” on Dec 17th on national TV!
Tessanne Chin was born September 23, 1985 and is a Reggae fusion recording artist who has opened for acts like Patti Labelle, Peabo Bryson and Gladys Knight, and also toured for 3 years with Jimmy Cliff.
Her older sister, Tami Chynn is also an accomplished Recording Artist.
Tessanne was born in Kingston, Jamaica to father, Richard Chin who is of Chinese and Cherokee ancestry and her mother, Christine Chin who is of half Black and half English/African ancestry.
She was introduced to music at a very early age by both her musical parents and started performing when she was 6 years old with Cathy Levy’s “Little People and Teen Players Club”, one of Jamaica’s top performing arts schools.
Tessanne has been married to Michael Cuffe since 2011.

Two of the most soulful voices from the Caribbean have teamed up together for the first time. Kees Dieffenthaller, lead singer from Kes The Band, and the songstress from Jamaica, Tessanne Chin have collaborated on a track they both wrote together, along with KC Phillips, titled “Loving You.”
